Returning to the live concert stage after the pandemic, Peckins presents “Spring in the Heart” for spring 2022, featuring beloved works by Bach and Beethoven (including the program’s namesake “Spring Sonata”), new works by exciting living composers Martinez and Hosokawa (including the United States premier of Hosokawa’s “Lied IV”), beautiful cantabile works by Price, and the dizzying, virtuosic and rhapsodic Sonata No 3 by Enescu!
An open-hearted embrace of hope and life, this program represents a reemergence - of spring after winter, of concerts after lockdowns - passionate music making to awaken and enliven the soul!
